First Nations Locations/Unit Swing Attachment

We are offering an exciting Locations / Unit Swing Attachment opportunity on a major television production. This hands-on role will immerse the successful applicant in the day-to-day operations of the Locations Department and Unit team.

Contract Length: 8 weeks

Rate:

Industry standard rate – to be discussed at interview stage, plus super and holiday pay.  

5 x 10 hr days (full time) Paid Overtime when required

 

Location: Perth, WA, On set, including away locations.

You’ll be working with 2 different departments: Locations (on set) and Unit during this attachment giving you the opportunity to develop an understanding of both areas and seeing the crossover between them. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting with the setup and pack down of unit bases and location sites.
  • Supporting the Locations team with site logistics, including signage, access management, and facilities setup.
  • Helping protect locations by managing foot traffic, assisting with cleanliness, and maintaining safety on set.
  • Collaborating closely with other departments such as Production Design, Camera, and Assistant Directors.
  • Providing general assistance on location moves, unit moves, and on-set locations work.
  • Helping with weather protection setups (e.g., tents, mats, coverings) and maintaining site accessibility.
  • Supporting location resets and ensuring sites are left clean and undamaged after filming.
  • Assisting with basic administrative tasks where required (e.g., distributing maps, assisting with permits, etc.).
